Sequence Visualizer

Design silent mutations or insertions and preview primers on your plasmid sequence
Mutation Library

Pick where to insert, then click any item — PEEK fills the form and designs the primers for you.

The item is inserted just before this base (1-based).
Inserts the enzyme's recognition site as DNA at your chosen position.
Inputs
Silent Mutation
Insertion
From Primers
Indels
Must be an exact substring found in your plasmid
Same length as original; changed bases encode the same amino acids

Quick Mutations

Pull a result from another PEEK tab — choose one to load its inputs & visualize.

Run a mutation on the Silent Mutations or Primer Design tab — results show up here.
How to use
  • From Primers (easiest): paste primers you already designed from the other PEEK tabs — the viewer will find where they bind and draw them on the sequence.
  • Silent Mutation: copy the codon region you want to change as the original window, paste the synonymous version as the mutated window.
  • Insertion: pick the position (1-based) where you want to insert extra DNA or amino acids.
  • Primers are designed using Q5 polymerase / NEB rules targeting 60-70 °C.
  • Highlighted bases show where each primer binds (blue = forward, red = reverse) and where changes occur (amber).
